4/1/2014

They installed the air ride fifth wheel hitch and we will be taking the trailer out for a test drive tomorrow. It's suppose to rain, with some thunder storms and hail, so it should be interesting. I'll make sure that Penny drives it too. Wouldn't want to be on the road where she HAS to drive and not be familiar with it.

Beyond that, we are parked in the side lot of the trailer manufacturer waiting for a couple parts. We decided we wanted an additional drawer for the pantry, they are waiting for the strap for the refer door to come in and the carpenter was out today, so didn't get the hole cut in the door for Tucker's cathouse restroom (hopefully tomorrow sometime). It's actually worked out well, even with the door removed. Tucker seems to be ok with it, if not actually likes it and it's out of sight and no smell. They adjusted a few of our window shades that weren't retracting completely and the cook top died after they moved us around from the front of the building. They couldn't fix it, so they're replacing it. Fortunately, new ones are expected in tomorrow. Glad it happened now. Don't have to wait for one to be shipped to us wherever we would have been later. We're not sure when the dining room chairs will arrive though.

Penny went to put out one of her table runners and discovered she had packed them in a box that we left in storage in Seattle. She has been sewing table runners nonstop for the last three days. One for her and the others for gifts for birthdays that are coming up soon.

Washer and dryer are nice to have, but the grey tank fills up a little faster when we use the washer. We've made a couple of batches of cookies and baked a dinner or two in our microwave/convection oven. So far, we're liking the way it cooks. A little faster than our old gas oven at home, but it does hold a full size cookie sheet.
